Important EventsSeptember 4, 1972: Recognizing the severe shortage of secondary school places, prominent figures from Hang Hau and other districts in Sai Kung established a preparatory committee. April 13, 1975: A board of directors was established. November 28, 1975: The organizing committee was registered as "New Territories Sai Kung Hang Hau District Secondary School Limited" and was allocated more than 89,000 square feet of land by the government to build the school. April 1979: Carry out the school building construction project. September 3, 1979: The opening ceremony was held at S.K.H. Yat Sau Primary School in Choi Hung Estate, and classes were temporarily held in eight classrooms of S.K.H. Yat Sau Primary School. |

Important EventsSeptember 19, 1979: The chairman and vice-chairman of the preparatory committee traveled to various Western European countries to raise funds for the school. January 3, 1980: Sir David Akers-Jones, Chief Secretary for Administration of the New Territories, officiated at the groundbreaking ceremony for the new school building in Chuk Kok. September 1980: They borrowed SKH Kei Sum Primary School in Fu Shan Village for classes. October 1980: The school building project has been completed. November 27, 1980: Governor Sir Murray MacLehose presided over the opening ceremony of the school building. November 27, 1982: A ceremony was held to mark the opening of the sports field at Cheng Chek Chee Secondary School. |
