Congratulations to our school's Division A boys' basketball team for winning the championship of the Sha Tin Sai Kung District Inter-School Basketball Tournament!
This basketball team championship is an achievement of the entire sports department! The support network woven from daily physical education classes, extracurricular sports promotions, and every training session of each team has supported the basketball team step by step to where it is today.
This is the collective achievement of all students who participated in the school's individual projects or team activities, as well as the teachers and coaches who trained them. It is the result of concerted efforts and mutual encouragement. Let's not be arrogant in victory or discouraged in defeat; let's keep striving!
Given the school's limited resources, the fact that they did not hire an external coach for the basketball team is extremely rare in academia. The team's remarkable progress today is entirely due to their hard work and perseverance, which is commendable.
During the competition, there were also high school exams and Form Six students who had to prepare for public exams. I know that the basketball team members all learned to adjust, be considerate, give each other advice, make good use of time, and face the challenges with a positive attitude. This is a valuable lesson and a welcome improvement.
The outcome of the game is not the most important thing; what matters more is the attitude and effort before facing gains and losses, and how to respond, reflect, and start again afterward. These are essential experiences for growth. I congratulate our school's boys' A-team basketball team on this valuable experience. And for the cheerleaders who came to cheer us on (including the vice principal, homeroom teachers, teachers, and students from all grades), I believe it was also a very valuable experience!
This "magical basketball journey" organized by our school is a testament to our second point of focus: "Inspiring potential, promoting diverse development, and fostering a healthy life to achieve students' physical and mental well-being." The principal looks forward to another journey through junior high school basketball, soccer, volleyball, handball, badminton, track and field, long-distance running, scout activities, arts, wind band, choir, drama, leadership development, mentorship, STEAM, Chinese history, civics, junior high school class activities, economics and history, coffee, AI... so that students with different potentials can develop in a diverse way with the help of teachers, and when they leave junior high school, they can be full of confidence, stand tall, and embark on their own path. Wishing everyone continued success in their studies, Form Six students continued focus on their studies for the public examinations, and all members of the sports teams a fruitful year in the inter-school competitions!
